What is a POP Account?
A Post Office Protocol (POP) mailbox is an e-mail account/address that resides on a server. Popular E-mail software/clients include Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Netscape Communicator or Eudora. Also, if you can send/receive your POP Mail using our WebMail, which allows you to send/receive email from ANYWHERE using a browser connected to the internet.
A POP Account can be anything@yourdomain.com, such as info@yourdomain.com, susanb@yourdomain.com, sales@yourdomain.com
POP email boxes very versatile because they allow you to SEND / RECEIVE email from that POP email address.
HINT: It is best to keep your pop account names as short as possible to avoid possible misaddressing. Shorter email addresses are easier to recall and to type.
It is also best not to use any punctuation/special characters in your email
address such as . or _.
