What is an AutoResponder?
Autoresponders (also known as mailbots, infobots, e-mail-on-demand, AR’s) are computer programs designed to automatically send an automated email message to anyone who sends an email to an autoresponder email address and a copy of the customer's email will be forwarded to the autoresponder owner for followup.

Autoresponders can be used in various ways:
- automatically respond that you have received the customer's message and tell htme when you will respond to their request
- automate the process of sending an email article upon request. 
- give out specific product information
- automatically tell the customer that you have received their email and will up with them
- notify people that you are away on vacation and who to contact in the interim

Because autoresponders handle requests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, practically on auto-pilot, they are extremely powerful internet communications tools and can work to your advantage.

WORKING EXAMPLE:
Sent an email to autoresponderdemo@intercape.com with the following info:
SUBJECT: TESTING THIS
EMAIL CONTENTS: see how this works!

How to CREATE an AutoResponder:
Go to Mail Admin

Go to Main Menu &  Click NEW MAIL ROBOT link
Mail Robot Name: <enter name for autoresponder> Send Copy To: <enter email address where you would like email to be sent to> Subject: <subject> <enter autoresponder message> click ADD button see sample below

test by sending an email to the autoresponder email addresss: <autoredponderdemo@yourdomain.com>

How to MODIFY an Autoresponder:
Go to Mail Admin

Go to Main Menu &  Click NEW MAIL ROBOT link
Modify whatever settings you like in the Mail Robot (autoresponder) choose MODIFY MAIL ROBOT

How to DELETE an Autoresponder:
Go to Mail Admin

Go to Main Menu &  Click MAIL ROBOTS link
Click DELETE button for the Mail Robot (autoresponder)  that you want to delete
press CONFIRM MAIL ROBOT
