How to Tell What Kind of Modem
you Have
Windows 2000 -
Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 3.1 -
Windows 95
or 98
In Windows, how can I tell what modem I have?
You may have many drivers installed on your computer, but the drivers do not
indicate which modem you have. To determine which modem you have, follow the
steps for your operating system. The results will look something like the
following:
Sportster 33600 v6.0
This result means that your computer detected a US Robotics Sportster 33.6k
external modem. It also indicates that this modem uses version 6.0 of the device
driver used to operate the modem.
